Compliance Requirements

Enter the applicable product, IEC, EN, or customer standard, if known (for example: EN 61326-1, EN 55032/EN 55035, IEC 60601-1-2, or a customer-specific document). If you are unsure which standard applies, enter “Not Sure” and Radiometrics will help determine the applicable EMC requirements.
IEC 61326 Electromagnetic Environment
If IEC/EN 61326 applies, select the electromagnetic environment specified for the product. Select “Not Sure” if Radiometrics should determine the applicable environment, or “Not Applicable” if the product is governed by another EMC product standard.
Intended Use Environment / Emissions Classification, if known
Select the environment in which the product is intended to be installed or used. If unsure, select “Not Sure — Radiometrics to Determine.”
Emissions Classification, if known
Select the applicable emissions classification if specified by the product standard or customer requirements. If unsure, select “Not Sure — Radiometrics to Determine.”
Highest Internal Clock / Oscillator Frequency
If multiple frequencies are used, select the range containing the highest frequency. You may list the other clock or oscillator frequencies under Additional Information or Special Requirements. Select “Not Sure” if the highest frequency is unknown.

Testing Requirements

Emissions Testing Requirements
Select the emissions tests known to be required. If you are requesting CE/European EMC compliance testing and are unsure which emissions tests apply, select “Not Sure — Radiometrics to Determine.” Radiometrics will determine the applicable emissions tests and limits from the product standard, intended environment, power configuration, and product interfaces.
Immunity Testing Requirements
Select the immunity tests requested, if known. For CE/European compliance testing to an applicable product standard, select “Not Sure — Radiometrics to Determine” if you want Radiometrics to determine the required immunity tests and test levels.
Enter the required performance criteria (A, B, C, etc.), if specified by the applicable standard or customer requirement. Enter “Per Applicable Standard” or “Not Sure” if unknown.

Power & Grounding

Product Power
Select all power sources or power inputs that may be used during normal operation of the product.
List each separate external power input, the quantity of each type, and its voltage or type. Examples: 1 × AC mains input; 2 × 24 VDC inputs; 1 × PoE input; or 1 × USB power input. If the product has only one power input, list that input.
Input Voltage(s) / Voltage Range
Select all input voltages or voltage ranges that may be used during normal operation of the product. Include all AC and DC power inputs. Select “Other / Multiple Voltages” if the required voltage is not listed, or “Not Sure” if unknown.
Enter the maximum input current or power consumption during normal operation. Include units (for example: 2.5 A, 500 mA, 250 W, or 1.5 kW). For battery-powered products, provide the maximum operating current or power if known. Enter “Not Sure” if unknown.
Provide the external power supply or adapter manufacturer/model, AC input rating, DC output voltage/current, and whether it will be supplied with the product for testing.
Grounding / Earth Connections.
*Protective Earth (PE): A safety earth connection intended to protect against electric shock, typically connected to exposed conductive parts of the product. *Functional Earth / Ground: A ground connection required for proper product operation, EMC performance, shielding, noise control, or signal reference, but not primarily for electrical safety. *AC Power Ground: The protective earth conductor supplied through a grounded AC power cord or plug. If the product's Protective Earth is provided through the AC power cord, select “Protective Earth (PE) through the AC power cord.” Select the type of external earth or ground connection used during normal product operation.

External Ports & Cables

Enter the total number of external signal, control, communication, I/O, and Functional Earth / Ground connections. Do not include AC or DC power inputs. Enter 0 if the product has none.
Types of External Ports / Connections
Select all that apply. Select “None” if the product has no external signal, control, communication, or I/O ports.
For each external connection, list the port type, quantity, normal or maximum cable length, and whether the cable is normally connected during operation. Include any Functional Earth / Ground connection. Example: Ethernet — 2 — 5 m — normally connected; USB — 1 — 2 m — normally connected; Functional Earth — 1 — 1 m — normally connected.
Are Any External Signal, Control, Communication, I/O, or Functional Earth Cables Longer Than 3 Meters?
Consider the normal or maximum cable length specified for each external signal, control, communication, I/O, or Functional Earth / Ground connection. Do not include AC or DC power cables in this question.
Are Any Signal, Control, Communication, I/O, or Functional Earth Connections Intended for Long-Distance Connections?
Select Yes if any external signal, control, communication, I/O, or Functional Earth / Ground connection is intended to extend outside the immediate equipment installation or connect to remotely located equipment. This is different from simply having a cable longer than 3 meters. Select “Not Sure” if uncertain.
Are Any Signal, Control, Communication, or I/O Lines Directly Connected to AC Mains?
Select Yes if any external signal, control, communication, or I/O connection is electrically connected directly to the AC mains supply rather than being isolated from the mains. Select “Not Sure” if uncertain.

Product Operation & Support Equipment

List all equipment required to operate, exercise, load, communicate with, or monitor the product during testing, such as computers, controllers, loads, simulators, power supplies, network equipment, or special fixtures. Enter “None” if no support equipment is required.
Will Radiometrics need to provide any support equipment?
Select Yes if Radiometrics will need to provide any equipment necessary to operate, exercise, load, communicate with, or monitor the product during testing.
List each distinct operating mode that should be exercised during EMC testing, such as standby, normal operation, maximum load, transmit, receive, charging, communication, heating/cooling, motor operation, or other applicable modes. Identify which mode represents the worst-case operating condition, if known.

Specific Immunity Test Details

Is the Product Magnetically Sensitive?
Select “Yes” if the product contains components or functions that may be affected by power-frequency magnetic fields, such as magnetic sensors, Hall-effect devices, transformers, CRTs, or other magnetically sensitive circuitry.

Monitoring & Acceptance Criteria

Describe how proper product operation will be monitored during immunity testing. Identify any required software, displays, communications, measurements, loads, alarms, or other indicators needed to verify normal operation and detect a performance change or failure.
Describe what should be considered unacceptable product performance during immunity testing, such as loss of function, degradation of performance, reset, communication error, incorrect output, alarm, data loss, or other abnormal operation. Enter “Per Applicable Standard” or “Not Sure” if specific acceptance criteria have not been defined.
